Job Description
The Arizona Serve Program Manager will manage a team of AmeriCorps State members in Yavapai County, while contributing to broader program development and support. They will also work closely with staff to assist with the recruitment process. This position reports to the Executive Director of Arizona Serve.
Essential Responsibilities
Member Management
● Plan and implement member and site supervisor trainings, including: on-site orientation, initial and ongoing site supervisor trainings other member-focused trainings and workshops.
● Participate in recruitment tasks, including the candidate interview process and national
service criminal history check scheduling, including onboarding for AmeriCorps State members.
● Hold an introduction, mid, and end-of-service check-in meeting with the members and their host sites.
● Maintain partnerships with organizations to place AmeriCorps State members, including monthly check-ins with current service sites.
● Provide individualized support and coaching for AmeriCorps State members.
● Assist the AmeriCorps Executive Director with the creation and upkeep of member files.
● Manage the Prescott AmeriCorps Team Leader.
Program Management
● Guide creation of program-related policies and procedures
● Support and manage partnerships with Yavapai County organizations that place AmeriCorps members.
● Assist with communications in both regions, spearheading social media posts and quarter newsletters.
● Under the guidance of the Executive Director, help refine data collection, tracking, analysis, and reporting systems related to the web-based services.
● Represent Arizona Serve of Prescott College and National Service at local, state, and national events.
● Participate in a collaborative partnership with the Prescott College campuses, staff, and faculty in both Prescott, AZ, and the Historic YMCA in Tucson.
Education, Skills, and Abilities
● Bachelor’s degree and a minimum 2 years of relevant professional experience
● Compliance and quality assurance experience highly desirable
● Ability to supervise others and history of leadership
● Experience developing and managing partnerships with nonprofits, government agencies, or educational institutions
● Previous national service experience highly desirable
● Able to build a team culture that values collaboration, creativity and excellence
● Strong organizational skills
● Excellent communication with verbal and writing skills
● Comfortable using Microsoft Office products such as Excel and PowerPoint, as well as Google apps
● Access to reliable transportation to attend community meetings and trainings
Benefits
● Salary range of $40,000 - $42,000
